Penny graduated from Victoria University of Wellington in 2017 with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology. She returned home to Christchurch that year and joined Perpetual Guardian in 2018, where she has worked in the trusts and estate planning field ever since. Perpetual Guardian is one of New Zealand's leading statutory trustee companies, with a history spanning more than 140 years.

As a Senior Client Manager, Penny works closely with individuals and families on a wide range of matters, including trusts, wills, enduring powers of attorney, estate administration, and succession planning. She manages trusts and estates where Perpetual Guardian acts as trustee or executor and also oversees the financial affairs of individuals who have appointed Perpetual Guardian to act on their behalf, as well as those for whom the company has been appointed by the Court.
