Fortified Homes has been bringing homes to life since 2016, A Family-owned business with over fifty years of building experience within the team.

Owner and Managing Director Mike Kidd established Fortified Homes with the idea of providing local families with quality homes at affordable prices. After noticing how difficult it was to get a foot on the property ladder, Mike wanted to use his experience to make a difference in the market.

Mike comes from a background in carpentry, where he completed his apprenticeship with his father, and shortly after the vision of Fortified Homes came to life. His father is very much still in the picture, working behind the scenes as an operation manager, alongside other members of the Kidd family.

Fortified homes services the Canterbury region, providing quality builds to our local area. We are recognised as Licensed Building Practitioners and Master Builders, having been awarded Silver in 2020 and 2021 and a Gold award in 2022 and 2023 along with the Regional Category award in 2023.
