Hi, I'm Katie Barrett, Agri Co-ordinator and Clinic Support at Petfirst & Farmfirst Darfield. My role is all about supporting farmers and helping make their day-to-day operations run as smoothly as possible.
I work closely with farmers to develop and manage animal health plans, taking the stress out of keeping on top of treatments, preventative health programmes, and product requirements. Whether it's helping create a plan that works for their farm, ensuring they're using the right products for the right animals, or simply being someone they can ring when they need advice, I'm here to make things easier.
But my role goes beyond animal health. Farming doesn't always go to plan, and sometimes a farmer just needs help finding a solution. Whether that's finding someone to step in and milk because a staff member is sick or an extra pair of hands to help push sheep through the yards on a busy day, connecting people with trusted local contractors, or helping solve those unexpected problems that pop up at the worst possible time, I'm only a phone call away.
I understand that on farm, timing is everything and there are days when nothing can afford to go wrong. My goal is to be a reliable point of contact who can help take some of the pressure off and keep both farmers and their animals thriving.
