The Mayors Taskforce for Jobs (MTFJ) is a nationwide network of New Zealand’s Mayors and the Ministry of Social Development (MSD) working together towards the vision of all young people under 25 being engaged in education, training, work, or other positive activity in their communities.
MTFJ is focused on helping local businesses within the district when they employ a young person under the age of 25, or those of any age who live with a disability or health condition or other needs and have had difficulty finding work. Each funding request is considered on a case-by-case basis and tailored to fit the needs of the new hire and the business they will be joining.

I’m excited to be part of the MTFJ and to see many more local residents into employment, education or training. I am happy to discuss options and opportunities with any employers who are in need of staff.
